When DCC moved from it's premises in Camden Street the aim was to set-up a new studio and thankfully, in January we had the opportunity to try out the new facilities during a studio workshop. Studio lighting is not something that comes natural to me. For this session the lights were set-up by the facilitators but I still felt there was something wrong with my output from the day. I feel the biggest plus with the new studio is the electronic backdrops which allows for the quick changing of the backdrop. So during my 5 minute slot I opted to change backdrops and create different moods with them. This backdrop has a narrow floral pattern down the centre but it seems to have harsh lines as it transitions into plain which I feel it is a pity. I decided to try it for a close-up shot only. I felt the brown/orange fur toned well with the muted orange in the floral pattern.
The settings for this shot was 1/125 sec. shutter with f/8 aperture and ISO 100 and it was taken with my Canon R5ii.
