This is not my typical image - and certainly not the prettiest, with the backside of the leaf. But the textures in the large leaf appealed to me and I wanted to get a shot of it with the perspective of the river to give it context. I had my 100 - 500 mm zoom (@247 mm)lens on my camera and didn't want to change lens, so made do with it. And the settings for wildlife! 1/1000 sec. shutter speed with an open aperture of f/7.1 and ISO 320.
The photo was taken at Mount Usher Gardens on 25th October, when I went there hoping to chase some autumnal colours!
