This photo was taken on a stroll in Dodder Valley Park after meeting a photo friend in The Edge Cafe. It was a breezy day which was proving extremely difficult for getting good close-up insect shots as the plants kept swaying in the wind. I used my 100-500mm RF long zoom lens on my R6 because I felt I had a better chance to get focus with the moving stems and leaves. However, I was very frustrated that I had the new 100-500mm RF lens rather than the old 100-400mm EF lens which has a much closer minimum focus distance. I used a shutter speed of 1/1000 sec. in the hope it would freeze some of the movement in the stem. I used the open aperture of f/7.1 and auto ISO gave an ISO of 500. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to see that the ladybird was nibbling or should I say gobbling up an aphid.
