Molly 31/12/2024
A festive shot of Molly taken in the sitting room on New Years Eve. She was very good staying out while I took photos of Leo the visiting cat, so her reward was being bribed with treats to get her to pose for the camera!
It was a very difficult shot to capture, and not just because Molly was not the most co-operative of models. It was evening and light was poor even with the lamp and main light on. ISO was 25,600!!! with an open aperture of f/4 and a shutter speed of 1/250 seconds. I unusually set the exposure compensation to +0.7 (I would normally set to a minus if ever adjusting) due to the darkness of Molly. Thankfully Topaz DeNoise helped rescue the image so that it wasn't destroyed by the ISO of 25,600.
