I enjoyed a short trip to the Botanic Gardens (Glasnevin) on Sunday morning. I had spent most of the time in the glass houses trying to get sets of photos to 'stack' and blend. Just outside one of the glass houses I spotted some white plants with some bees and hoverflies with neutral colours. I got a range of shots in the area and was particularly pleased to at last get a reasonable flying image.
I find it very difficult to get a sharp photo of anything flying. I was lucky that this bee came in slow enough and my camera was able to stay focused on it as I took a burst of shots. I managed to get a few shots that were in focus. I was balanced leaning over the back of a bench in the Botanic Gardens (Glasnevin) with my Canon R6. I had my 100 mm macro lens on so I needed to get close and also had to crop to get the final image. I used a shutter speed of 1/2500 sec with an aperture of f/5 and ISO 1250.
