My working from home days are regularly spend minding Lyla the lovable, lunatic lurcher cross that moved in with David and Lindsey in August 2023. Lyla came from the DSPCA as puppy and brought mayhem to the household. She suffers separation anxiety so couldn't be left along long, and being a puppy would grab any object left down and chew it apart or consume it if you didn't react quickly enough.
This feature photo was taken while we celebrated her 1st Birthday. A rare few minutes as she rested in her doggie bed, the colours of her special birthday collar matching the balloons behind her bed. Because it was indoors I had my short 24-70 mm EF lens on the Canon RF and took the shot at 59 mm, later cropping a bit more in Photoshop to take some of the clutter from the scene. I used a shutter speed of 1/500 sec. as she was reasonably steady (unusual for her) with an aperture of f/4 and ISO of 640.
Happy 1st Birthday Lyla
