I am delighted to introduce one of my two new pet frogs. The 4 month old twins arrived into the house on 18th of March to their newly set up terrarium. They are Indonesian Whites Tree Frogs which are a good 'starter' pet frog as they don't need high humidity and will allow some handling.
I noticed this wee one yawning and doing funny rhythmic movement with it's tummy which got me worried especially as their seemed to be slime coming from it's mouth. I decided to check it out and managed to hold my camera in the other hand as it sat on my hand. I later discovered that the yawning and tummy movement was most likely it shedding and eating the shed!
The photo was taken with my 100 mm macro lens on the R6. The aperture was f/3.2 with a shutter speed of 1/160 sec and ISO 3200. It is a record shot, being nocturnal it will be a big challenge to get a good shot!
