The colours of this male siskin are particularly striking with the neutral tones of the background and the acer with buds rather than leaves. Siskins are small finches with a fine pointed bill. The male has strong bright yellow in colour with a black crown and a tiny bib. The belly is lighter in colour.
This photo was taken through the kitchen window using my Canon R6 with the 100-500 mm RF lens zoomed to 500 mm. I used the open aperture (f/7.1) with a shutter speed of 1/1000. As light was reasonably good auto ISO came in at 2000.
