Yikes it's cold

A cold spell brings a new interest for my garden photography.  Regular birds such as this Coal Tit, along with new arrivals that the cold spell bring in, perch on branches near the feeders.  The pose and expression on this Coal Tit brought a smile to my face.  I couldn't but think that he didn't like having cold feed and longed for under-floor heating.
I used my usual 'go-to' settings for garden bird photography using a long lens, with a shutter speed was set at 1/1000 sec., an aperture of f8 and auto ISO read 1000. The lens was zoomed to max 560 mm with a 1.4 extender giving extra reach on my 100-400mm Canon zoom lens.
