This vixen seemed to be after a tasty meal which thankfully wasn't me. Although she seemed to be looking my way!
I was delighted to see the vixen while at River Birch Photography Hides in Mullingar. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the camouflage netting in front of my lens so a good few of my shots had a weird sheen and were totally soft. Lesson learned.
I had my camera on my gimbal head attached to a sturdy board made by a good friend so I had good stability in the hide. I used a shutter speed of 1/1600 sec. as the vixen was moving fast with an aperture of f8 and ISO250. As you will notice the light was bright and harsh and this was a significant challenge. This photo is a quickly edited JPEG and I hope when time permits to process the RAW file and see if I can improve the shadows and tones.
