As youngsters my daughters always looked out for the 'red n white chimneys' of Poolbeg. Whether it was when out in the car or sailing to and from the Isle of Man. The chimneys are iconic and feature in many a photo and painting.
This photo was taken while on a stroll along south wall. I had noticed the broken wall and decided to take a quick hand-held shot with the chimneys framed by the broken wall. It was a really challenging photo to process as the wall was so much darker than the background scene.
May 2009 (when I was still in auto mode on the camera)
