Duckett's Grove is a lovely location for a morning walk. It 5000 acre site maintained by Carlow County Council with walled gardens, wooded area along side the old house which was built in the 18th Century. The ruins of the house is particularly attractive in April when the rapeseed crop provides a lovely foreground to the house.
Unfortunately the day I took the photo(s) was overcast. A blue sky would have been lovely with the yellow flowers of the rapeseed. I stood at the edge of the field to take the photo. Later I realised that most other photographers go down the lane and take the photograph featuring another field and the lane can be seen in the photo!
I used a tripod and had used the adapter to attach my 24-70 EF lens onto my R6. I wanted to have the rapeseed and the house in focus so chose an aperture of f18. My shutter was set at 1/40 sec. with an ISO of 100. I took two photos, one focusing on the foreground and the second one on the house. I later merge the two in Photoshop and created the frame.
