This photo was taken on a recent trip along the Copper Coast. Kilfarrasy strand, with it's golden sand and bizarre rock formations and rock islands is a joy for seascape photographers especially at dawn and dusk. Unfortunately the lack of clouds in the sky impacted the image. Light was also a challenge as the high tide had prevented access to this point until the sun had risen.
For this shot I had my Canon R5, with 14-35 R lens (at 14mm) on my tripod and I used a combination of NiSi filters to control the bright sky and enable the slow shutter speed needed to freeze the water and get an mystical feel to the shot. It was a 30 second exposure with an aperture of f16 and an ISO of 100.
