Surfing at Poolbeg

This was one of a couple of shots I took this Sunday morning when out with the group I was mentoring as part of their Introduction to Photography course at Dublin Camera Club.  It was cold and blustery and the wind surfers certainly had wind and rain to deal with.

For this shot I chose a shutter speed of 1/2500 sec. and an aperature of f13.  The high speed was because it was an action shot and because light conditions were good I increased the aperature to f13 to get more of the shot in focus.  Auto ISO resulted in 800.  I chose this shot rather than a tigher crop as I wanted the lighthouse to add context to the scene.
