Coastal Glider

I have been struggling to master flying birds and it really is a case of about 1 in 1000 of shots might be salvagable.  I was lucky with this one and was happy that it seemed to be in focus.  The blurred buildings along the coast road added to the shot giving it a context.

The photo was taking using eye tracking and with servo for continuous tracking on the Canon R6.  I used the Canon EF 100-400 mm EF lens and the 1.4 extender attached to the body via the adapter.  The shutter speed was set at 1/5000 sec and an open aperture of f8 which resulted in an auto iso of 1600.
