This festive shot of Milo the hamster was taken in 2020. I tried a few different set-ups but found that the simple one with only one prop, the tiny Santa hat, was the best. It was a bit of a challenge to get a fast moving mini creature to stay steady for a shot. Being indoors I also had a problem with light. I opted for a shutter speed of 1/500 sec. as Milo was constantly moving. I use and aperture of f5 to try get Milo in focus and the hat identifiable. These settings resulted in an auto iso of 320. I used my 100 mm macro lens on my Canon 5Diii.
