This photo of the stag was taken in the Phoenix Park on the 25th of September. I deliberately kept low to the ground shooting upwards towards the stag to give it more prominance in the shot. I also aimed to have the papal cross in the shot to give a perspective of the location. It was to a challenge to edit the photograph. the lighting was a difficult to get right and I am still not happy with it and it still seems somewhat of a false representation no matter what white balance adjustments that I make. I also had to clone out the goal posts and people to make the shot slightly more pleasing. In nature photography cloning is not allowed so this is not a true 'nature' image and not eligible for entry in nature competitions due to the processing.
The settings on the R6 when I took the photo consisted of a shutter speed of 1/1000 sec., and aperture of f7.1 and iso 500.
