Playing with depth of field using my 100mm macro lens, I tried to blurr the strong pink veins on the flower. To achineve this I used and open aperture of f2.8 and because it was bright I used as fast shutter of 1/640 sec to achieve a balanced exposure (ISO was 250). While the desire was to have blurred edges, unfortuately some of the center parts of the flower are also blurred due to the shallow depth of field at f2.8. The second shot which is from further back shows more of the flower and surrounding area. The settings were similar but ISO was 160. Both photos were taken in the Phoenix Park on the 3rd of September.
