This common darter dragonfly was resting on a wooden platform at Pollardstown Fen when I took the photo on the 28th of August. I braved a shutterspeed of 1/320 sec on the Canon R6 hoping the extra image stabilisation would help with the 100-400mm EF lens. As I was also using the 1.4 extender I had an open aperature of f8 giving me a reach of 560mm. Due to the bright day I auto iso set at 160.
