My Snappy Times Blog posts don't always feature my 'best' photo but one chosen by me because it has a slight 'wow' factor for me at a personal level. This photo (and the one below) is because it was the first set of Blue Tit photos that I snapped after the sudden and complete disappearance of the blue tits from my nest box and garden. It was the third year that I was honored to have a courting blue tit couple set up home in my garden. The previous two years I managed to witness, the last nestling leave the box, or see the new fledglings flutter about in my garden and then learn to feed with the parents. This year they disappeared completely and there was no sightings of even the parents at the feeding stations. So it was total delight when I noticed a single fledgling blue tit in the garden from time to time. Then this week I spotted this pair and they hung around long enough for me to take the photos.
