Feeding junior

Nature provides a temporary escape from the realities of the world around you.  Whether it is a trip to the countryside, a nature reserve or just looking out of the window as you boil the kettle, you may see a touching scene unfold in front of you.
This shot was taken from the kitchen window, yes as yet again I boiled the kettle for a cuppa.  I saw a scurry of activity at one of the feeding stations and noticed some birds waiting on the perches so I grabbed the camera.  Then the adult chaffinch started feeding the waiting juvenile. I kept my finger on the shutter, eye tracking had locked on the juveniles eye so I took a burst of shots.  I managed to achieve a sequence as the heads got closer until their beaks locked as the food exchange took place.  The shot above was taken with a shutter speed of 1/1600 sec.  and an aperture of f5.6  with auto ISO clocking 5000.
