Moorhen Chick
While the travel restrictions were in place, I
focused my photography on birds (garden or park). Having witnessed the
ducklings and cygnets in the park, I was on the lookout for other chicks and
young. The latest to my list of cute (or not so cute) baby photos is the
moorhen chick. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw this little chick
out of the water, as it gave me the chance to see it in its entirety. And
while the concrete ramp at the park lake is not really photogenic, it gave me
the opportunity to shoot low and capture the chick’s feet without either water
or grass obscuring them.
Earlier in the month (5th), I was delighted to get a sequence of photos in the same location of coots with their chicks.
