A quick
shot of Sandymount with the iconic 'red and white chimneys' in the background,
taken after Pfizer Vaccine #1 at the Aviva Stadium. Built in the1970's
and decommissioned in 2010, these chimneys are on the site of the Poolbeg and
Pigeon House power stations, both owned by the ESB. The chimneys can be seen
from much of the city and are now thankfully listed as a protected
structure. This is an area I’ve walked many times and of which I have
fond memories. I still hear my daughters’ shouts down the years when the 'red
and white chimneys' come into view as we pass by in the the car or return by
ship from holidays in the Isle of Man.
The photo was taken on a Canon R6 with a Canon 24-70mm lens with a shutter of 1/125 sec and aperture of f/11 with ISO 100.
