This blue tit was snapped in less than ideal
conditions this morning in Sean Walsh Park. The harsh sunlight was a
challenge and somewhat curbed my nature photography. The settings were 1/1000 sec
shutter speed with aperture set at f5.6 (my usual starting point for this type
of shot) and auto ISO set at 125 (an indication of the strong sun even at just
after 10.30 am). The photo was edited in Lightroom and I used Topaz
DeNoise to sharpen it.
I chose this photo out of the batch because I particularly liked the setting, which was why I didn't crop too tight. It reminded me of a photo I had taken a few years ago which I used in my recent panel when applying for licentiateship of the Irish Photographic Society.
